We are a 105,000-square-foot transloading and cross-docking facility with 15 loading docks located 20 minutes from the Los Angeles/Long Beach port complex. We handle the transloading of many types of commodities including solar panels, solar battery storage systems, solar transformers, aggregates in totes, PET rolls and resin, lumber, machinery, electronics and more. We handle heavy container drayage to our facility for overweight cargo.

Transloading is defined as unloading a trailer or container from one mode of transport to another. It is typically performed when a shipment is imported to the US or a shipment is exported from the US. Shippers can utilize transload warehouses to control their cargo better, provide more flexibility, reduce costs and save time. We also have slip sheet forklift attachments to handle slip sheets.


Import Transloading / Cross-docking: when an import ocean container is “transloaded” to a domestic 53’ OTR (over the road) trailer, flatbed, or 53’ intermodal container for final delivery to a domestic delivery address that is too cost-prohibitive for a drayage carrier (drayman) to deliver due to its distance from the port.


Export Transloading / Cross-docking: when a domestic 53’ OTR (over the road) trailer, flatbed, or 53’ intermodal container from an inland location is delivered near the port area and is then “transloaded” to an ocean container. The overweight corridor is close to us, but we are outside the overweight corridor. 

FBA Prep Services: we can prepare your Amazon FBA orders from importation to drayage to devanning, segregating by order, providing pallet dims/weight, labeling and staging orders for your carrier.

Value Added Logistics: repacking, pallet breakdown, order picking by carton and palletization, parcel shipping services, and custom tailored warehousing related services


Storage: we offer cargo storage services for short-term storage of your cargo.


The main types of transloads / cross-docks are:

Direct Transloads: when you have a “one to one: transload. For example 1 inbound container to 1 outbound 53’ trailer.


Deconsolidation and Distribution: when you have multiple SKUs in a container or trailer and you need cargo segregated


Reasons for Transloading / Cross-Docking:


Intermodal Equipment issues at origin:

  • Get cargo exported faster due to a faster transit time on OTR trucking compared to intermodal truck + rail. When you have urgent exports and intermodal equipment such as 20’, 40’ or 53’ containers are in short supply, you can use a 53’ OTR trailer to ship goods to the closest port of loading and transload them to an ocean container. Additionally, if the cargo is extremely urgent, you can even get “team drivers” to get the cargo to the warehouse near the port of loading even faster than a single driver.

Cost Savings:

  • Maximize loads to final destination (e.g. Load heavier on the import container and then “legalize” the load’s weight when transloading to domestic trucks, or load legal on export loads and then “maximize” the load’s weight at the warehouse near the port of loading to “maximize” the load’s weight in the ocean container)

  • Cost effective compared to direct container delivery on imports depending on the distance

  • Reduce inventory costs at DCs (distribution centers)


Inventory Control, Flexibility and Agility for Shippers:

  • More agility in high velocity commodities such as FMCG to place cargo at the highest demanded DCs at the time of arrival to the port of discharge on imports. In other words, delivering cargo to the best/right market at the right time.

  • Reduce inventory carrying costs

  • Avoiding demurrage and detention charges on imports when final delivery location cannot accept the import containers.

  • Reduce costs on inland trucking on export loads due to higher intermodal carrier costs. Depending on market conditions, you can either rail or truck the goods to the transload warehouse and then have them transloaded to export containers
